I only now just today heard about Everett's death. I first met Everett at newton high in 1966 when he was my 11th grade math teacher. After that we became connected as friends. For several years we stayed in touch and then lost it. We reconnected twice after that in 1977 and then 2000 for a while each time but then again lost touch. Everett will always remain in a very special place in my heart and memory as a friend who made a significant difference in my life even though our direct friendship contact only took place for a few years. As a human being he touched me very deeply. I am sorry I just heard about his passing. It truly saddens me very deeply about his passing.
With profound condolences to his family,
Mona Stone Rosen

Nora,
I am so sorry to hear that Everett passed away. He was a great advocate for educators in Massachusetts and, more importantly, as a kind and caring person. Living where I do now, I often miss out on the news of my friends until it's too late. I hope you are doing well under the circumstances.

Everett was viewed by his peers as highly intelligent, and focused. He cared deeply about the people he represented, Massachusetts public education employees and would give every bit of himself to fight for them. Everyone one that had the privilege of knowing Everett had the utmost respect for him.
