I continue to send prayers to you and your family, Ken. While I did not get to meet Patti, I did exchange letters with her and her giving spirit was evident in her words and faith. I have heard so much about the beautiful person she was, and I am praying that the love and support of friends and family bring all of you comfort in the days ahead.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

Ken and family-

I was sad to hear about your great loss. Please know that I've been praying that you would know God's comfort as you grieve and miss her.

I'm sure Patti told you that we were friends from birth. Our moms were friends before we were born, so I don't remember not knowing Patti Anne, as her parents often called her. We spent a lot of time together when we were growing up, and I consider her a dear friend.

I have so much respect for the person Patti became as an adult. Her faith was so obvious as she dealt with the cancer. She talked so openly that her time on earth would be short and she would soon be in her real home; she put me at ease from the first time she told me about her cancer. She knew her life was in God's hands and she trusted Him completely.

The last time I saw Patti was at Dustin and Kelli's wedding. I knew it may be our last time together in this life. I know we will be together in heaven, but I will miss her sweet smile for now.

Know that our love and prayers are with all of you.

Love,
Joy Fischer

Dear Ken, Michael and Ashley,
Mark and I are so sorry for your loss and at the same time so grateful for the truth and her confidence in Christ. Patti and I first met at BSF when we moved here in 1997, and she encouraged us to come to TCC. I will always remember the kindness of her smile and her welcoming us to your home for dinner and gatherings at different times throughout our time at TCC and BSF together. She was a lovely friend and sister in Christ to me (and to Mark) in those years together. May these happy memories be added to the many you hold close in heart today and bring may they always bring you joy.
