Sandy Gee was a good friend and a wonderful, kind, caretaker of my two girls, Rebecca and Hannah McLaughlin in the '60's, as I was beginning my teaching career as an Asst Prof of History at Wellesley College. She provided an orderly joyful, playful, creative and loving community for the children in her care. Both Becca and Hannah really loved her and the happy group of kids for whom she was "another Mom". She provided a service for the few of us then who were full time working mothers which was a treasure beyond price...enabling us to be at peace, knowing our children were both thoughtfully loved as individuals and having fun as well. As I was in 1980 ordained a Deacon in the Episcopal Church in St. Peter's Weston, now a retired Priest, I will be giving thanks this Sunday at the parish I attend in Tamworth, NH for Sandy Gee...a woman of compassion, humor, care and love...one of the Saints on earth as in Heaven.! Ellie McLaughlin, once of 71 Lexington St., Weston

Sandy provided childcare to me in the mid-1970s; she was generous and had a quick laugh. Once, she agreed to care for me in spite of being active with chicken pox. My two working parents dropped me off at her doorstep, aged 6, whereupon Sandy hooked me up with a personal tv all day long! Brilliant and diplomatic. She gave of herself and I remain grateful for the years of play and learning spent under her care.
