To the Family of William McCool,
I want to say my heart and prayer goes out to you. I understand what it is like to lose someone in such a tragic way. I lost my sister, Lillian Caceres, on 9/11 and so I can truly say I understand what you are feeling inside. The one thing that got me through this was my faith in God and the prayers of friends and family and strangers. So I want you to know that I will be praying that God will help you through this time of sorrow.
Time does heal, but in your heart you never forget and you never stop loving them.
God bless you and keep the faith.
Sincerely, Aurea

My thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of a great hero.
We are thankful to have such a brave angel watching over us. God Bless.

My condolences go out to William McCools family. He gave his life to further science and it was an accomplished life. I was drawn to his photograph with the rest of the astronauts. All looked excited and motivated. Mr. William McCool looked more like 22 than 42; his eyes at once showed his focus and the excitement that lay ahead.
I feel like I've lost a great friend and the country has lost one tremendous role model.
To all who knew and loved you, may God give you strength.
