My deepest sympathy to the Proxmire family.
Thank you Senator Proxmire for fighting for the little guys. I can recall when my dad and his friend were alive they would meet weekly at each other's home on a Friday or Saturday night and during many conversations your name was mentioned. I recall them saying we need more people like you that cares for all of us. For that I thank you.
My you rest in peace
Tom

My deepest condolences to the Proximire family on the loss of Sen. Proxmire. He was a man of great courage, an extraordinary senator for so many reasons and a personal hero of mine. I regret that he was never our president and that more government officials are not like him.

Senator Proxmire earned my respect and gratitude for dedicated service to his country. Let us hope we will again see men and women of his character in the United States Senate. We have lost a wonderful man.
