Zia Gabriella, Livia, Michael, Patty and families - Sending our most heartfelt condolences to all of you. Zio Angeline, as we knew him, was a very caring, gentle, kind and generous man. His family in B.C. will always remember his visits with a lot of affection! From the great snow of the '60's, the '70's that saw him exploring in the old Edsel and generously gifting everyone with prugna and brandy, the '80's with family weddings and the Ivan Kentucky Fried Chicken visit. Every visit was memorable. He loved his family and helped every one of us. His children and grandchildren can be proud of the life he carved out in Canada and the love he had of family....on an international level.
He really was there for all of us. We remember his 'orco Dindio, wine making expertise and constant smile. We spoke with him via FaceTime thanks to Mason the night before he passed away. So very thankful for the opportunity. I think he witnessed quite a political debate. His eyes were bright and he tried to speak...it is a gift to have spent those moments with him. I know Zia, Livia, Michael and Patty made sure he was not alone. His brother Nesto was amazing in his support and care for his brother. There are so many stories...I hope everyone shares them with his family...especially Christopher, Lauren, Mason and Trevor. I know the last photographs we received showed him with his sons-in-law Roland and Greg around the table with vin bon and good food. Zia is a great cook! I hope you all find comfort in your memories and please know we share your sadness and also feel very blessed to have known him and called him Zio. Much love from Angela, Phil and Jordan.
