Dear Paul, I'm very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. My deepest sympathy to you and your family at this time.
Sorry to hear of your loss, just heard about it tonight at a family get together. I remember riding the bus for all those years- there was always a Lewis kid on the bus.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

To Paul,Martha,Jo-Anne and family: We missed Jack leaving every nite to go see the sun set at the water, when he was in good health. We will miss seeing him husk corn in the garage. The phone calls ,some serious and some just to ask for advise or to fix some little thing. His teasing our dog to get him to bark. Taking the scenic route to Windsor, the water front to show Dave and Dan where he lived or a house being built or a place where to buy the best apple pie.
How do we say good bye to such a wonderful man, I guess in his own words to us many times,
" Jack TOOT A LOU ".
Our deapest sympathy Dave,Helen,Dan,Tom Charette
P.S. I will miss the sound of Molly's wind chimes. Helen
Chris,
My heart goes out to you at this time. The bond you shared with John was so strong and so obvious that I know his love for you will go on and bring you peace, in time.
...He was my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Sunday rest, my noon, my midnight, my talk, my song; I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong... (W.H. Auden)
May you find peace in your heart and memories.
Jack,
You were a great boss to me for many years at Windsor Truck & Storage. I am sure Mollie will give you a warm welcome as you two were so wonderful together. My condolences to your family.
The Lewis Family,
One word explains growing up with John - FUN! I have so many happy memories of him while we were in both grade school & high school. I can not describe how heartbroken I am. The Class of '72 - Freeburg High will be celebrating their 40th Reunion this summer. John is our Senior Class President and although he will not be with us physically, I know he will be there right alongside us in spirit.
John, RIP my friend - you'll never be forgotten!
Sincere Condolences on the passing of your Father Prayer and thoughts are with you

Chris,
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. He was a great boss to me. I don't hnow how long he has been sick but that had to be hard on you.
Take care of yourself. You are in my prayers. I didn't have your home address so I could not send you a card.
Good Bye Old Friend. Most of my young memories involved you. I'm so sorry we didn't stay connected. You will forever be in my heart...
You will live on, dear brother John, in our hearts, minds and stories.......gone too soon, but NEVER forgotten!!!
We are so saddened by John's passing. We will always remember the good 'old' days that we had. Lots of laughs. We know he is in a better place. Love Carole & Darrell Ross
I'd just left StL and moved down to the country here in Southern MO and called John one hot summer day. There was a 'stray critter' in my yard, I ran to get the shotgun -while we were talking on the phone... I took a couple of (missed) shots, only to find out I'd gotten the BB gun. We BOTH laughed histerically- "city girl in the country!" Since then I ALWAYS think of John when I get out that BB Gun... He will always and forever make me laugh! :-)
With my deepest sympathy to the Lewis Family.
You have our deepest sympathies. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Doren and Debbie (Widel) Rakers

John,
The stars were a little brighter last night.
Chris, I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you for comfort and peace and strength during this very difficult time. I'll always remember John's kindness and friendship. He was a good man.
I shared many classes with John while attending SIU and he always greeted me with a smile. He spoke often of his siblings and although Dave was the only one of you I knew, I felt like I knew you all. He spoke of his family with such feelings of love and devotion. There will always be a place in my heart and soul for John.
I am very sorry for your loss. I attended Freeburg school and rode the bus with John and he would always talk to me even though I was much younger than him. Then we ended up working for the same company years later. Such a great guy. My thought and prayers are with you and your family and to David and Sally.
Sorry for your lost and my prayers are with the Family.
