OMG. Jackie came to me in a dream last night and told me she had passed. So I just now found her obit. We have a long history starting around 1964 on the basketball court at Kennedy with Mary Jo Galbraith. Jackie taught with my uncle Jim Tisdale and she was my first associate teacher . She and Chrissy were so much fun! Later we lived in the same apartment building on Giles Blvd. I moved away from Windsor but visited her when I could. In Newmarket I met Helen Gurney whom Jackie had spoken about as she was a Gurney girl! Jackie was special. She was such a tease and had such a great sense of humour! I think of her often and will continue to do so. Our life paths crossed in so many ways and I feel blessed to have known her! Love always!

Jackie was my teacher for Grade 3 and Grade 5 at John Campbell Public School. Later, she would become a very good friend to my mother. Unfortunately, we lost touch for a few years... But I'm very grateful that I got to spend a few minutes with Ms. Welch early in September.

Aunt Jackie was an incredible woman that will be sadly missed by all that knew her. Her life was full of love and service - to her community, church, school and family.

She taught me also at David Maxwell and I felt comfortable in her class as she took the time to listen to each student. R.I.P.
