Gary Goodness Obituary
Gary Goodness, age 69, a resident of Conover, WI, since 2005, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, in Laona, WI. He was born December 30, 1944, in Nekoosa, WI, to Glen and Alvina Goodness. Gary graduated in 1963, from Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He then attended North Central Technical College before joining the Marine Corps, where he served in Vietnam. After being discharged he worked at Steele Volkswagen, Brostrom Kickert Chevrolet, and Consolidated Papers. Gary cherished the time spent with his family. He was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiasts. His sense of humor and loving nature will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Gary was a member of the Conover Lions Club, Chapter 101 Vietnam Vets out of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, the Eagle River Horseshoe League, and Dart Ball League. He was actively involved in his faith community. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Alvina Goodness; brother, Kenny and sister, Nancy. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Diane Goodness; children, Gregg (Kim) Goodness, Grant (Mandi) Goodness; four grandchildren, Taylor, Madisen, Addison and Macy. He was the cherished brother of Marilyn Edwards, Sue Skibba and Janet Korn. He is survived by numerous other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church in Eagle River, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Gary's name.

Diane & Family, I knew Gary when working at Brostrom-Kickert in the late 70's.Excellent person to work with & lot's of jokes! He will be missed.....God Bless....

I only new Gary the two years that I attended Assumption High but I will always remember him for his smile and sense of humor. Glad to have know him. My condolences to Diane and family.
