Missing you today and every day Dee. It's hard to believe that it has been almost a year - we have a lifetime of memories to remember. Love you and miss you my friend.

I was lucky enough to share high school with Dee. She always was beautiful and witty. Through the reunion connection was able to communicate in the last years .
Having lost both friends and siblings I just want to offer good thoughts ..
She will reach out to you when you least expect...

Hey Dee - I can hear your voice in my daily routine "Mandarin what are you doing?" or "Mandella let's try it this way?" I know you are watching over all of us, guiding us and drying our tears. I think about you often my friend and it still doesn't seem real to me. My only consolation is that you have the best seat in the house for those games at Soldier Field. Love you bunches and miss you more. Mandaroo

To Mike and the family-just got the notice that Dee passed. We are so sorry for your loss. What we remember are the crazy times we shared with her so many years ago at CB Center-where we all met. Driving in her Chevy. Trying to get it started in the cold sometimes. Singing songs-she was so good at it! Partying. We will always cherish her and prayers for you all!

Dee welcomed my children and I into her home and family. She had this way of making people feel comfortable instantly. I am extremely fortunate that I got to be a part in Dee's life, which was entirely too short. Nevertheless, everything about Dee made you want to be around her. If you met her once, you immediately loved her. The whole family's relationship makes me smile and warms my heart. I will miss her tremendously!

Dear Mike and family:

God looked around His garden and found an empty place,
He then looked down upon this earth and saw Dee's tired face,
He put His arms around her and lifted her to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
God knew that Dee would never get well on this earth again.
God saw that the road was getting rough and the hills hard to climb.
It broke our hearts to lose her, but she didn't go alone, for part of us went with her the day God called her home.
She has left us beautiful memories and her love never forgotten.
The family chain is broken and nothing will be the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

I can only imagine the table she will have set when we all meet again, complete with plenty of wine and pepper gravy for everyone.
All out love, The Batinich Family

Dee, I know you are in a better place and for that I am grateful and you are at peace. Many great memories when I first met you and Mike in 1976 at the first Al's softball game at a tournament. The cow bell and "what time is it" cheer. The pork chop around my neck so I would not miss any games. The after the game pizza and beers, BEARS games at the house, never ending fun. Glad to have been part of your life. We will see each other again and ring that cow bell together
and have a beer. I also will never forget the 30th birthday celebration at TIME OUT. :) GOD BLESS YOUR Great Freind Bogdan or B. Bat or Bogie or Bratz

Aunt Dee was my favorite. She was beautiful without artifice, and sassy without rudeness. She knew all the words to every song, or she'd just fake it really well. She was the hip version of my mom (who was her older sister), and I like to envision the two of them reunited in Heaven, elbowing each other as they point & laugh at me. 59 years wasn't long enough, dammit. But Aunt Dee was hurting, and is now at peace, out of pain. The best thing we can do now is honor her by living like her: fully, joyously, with a glass of wine and some good music. Love you always, Aunt Deedee.

I was a classmate of Dee in Cicero..
I remember her as smart , funny and beautiful..
I thinking that she was able to carry those things through as a mother and a friend.
I learned of her death through a high school connection...
Remembering her today

Dee, it is with heavy hearts that we must say good bye for now. You are at peace and the heavens have been blessed with another angel. We can never nor will we ever forget you because you have left such an imprint on all of our hearts. Friend, you are loved by so many. Your family is our family and we will all take care of them, just maybe not as well as you did.
Until we "FESTIVAL" again hang on to that piece of my heart which you took with you. PEACE DEE!

Our hearts are very sad today on the news of Dee's passing. We had many wonderful remembrances with the kids growing up. We will blow the Bears touchdown conch shell one last time in her honor. Steve, Ann, Matt, Adam
