Carol and children;
You have my deepest sympathy. I will always remember Norm as a great softball pitcher and also the times I would have coffee at the café, talking about growing up in Spencer, when I would come home for a visit. I also enjoyed.
May God bless and comfort the Kasper family in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to hear about Norm. I have such fond memories of spending time at the Kasper household, going camping on the island and going out for fish fries every friday night. CAROL, YOU AND NORMAN HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR OVER 50 YEARS OF HENRY & MINE. I REMEMBER WITH A FLIP OF THE TOWEL NORM MADE STRIKE AFTER STRIKE AND HIT BIG SCORES! WHAT GOOD TIMES WE HAD TOGETHER! EVEN AFTER THE SHOP WAS GONE HE FIXED MY SHOES IN YOUR BASEMENT, AND I SHALL MISS HIS PANCAKES.
MY SINCERE THOUGHTS FOR YOUR LOST.
Carol and family,
Here's something I shared with friends after reading about Norm's passing. Please know it's from the heart, and that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you:
Today I read about the death of a guy named Norm Kasper. His name won't mean anything to most people I've bumped into around the world, but he was one of the fellows who mattered.
Even as a youth I enjoyed going to the shoe and sport shop he and his wife Carol operated in the small community of Spencer, Wisconsin. I continued going there in my adult life, because he was good at repairing the souls of shoes and human spirits and along the way might sell you a hunting license or fishing pole. He also was one of those fellows who showed me the importance of volunteering to help our rural communities and built one of the most kick-butt dairy breakfast semi-automated pancake griddles I've ever seen.
Every community needs a few folks with his spirit. When you read my words about the rural countryside, know that the spirit of Norm and a handful of others like him are peeking around every letter -- one of the characters behind the words' characters.
So sorry to hear about Norm. Your family is in our thoughts & Prayers at this time.
