Jeffrey Koszczuk Obituary
Jeffrey Casimir Koszczuk, 62, a respected obstetrician-gynecologist who practiced in central Wisconsin and Galesburg, IL, died on Sept. 12 at his home in Wisconsin Rapids, from pancreatic cancer.
Memorial services for Jeff will be held locally at 11:00 AM on Saturday September 16, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Father Patric will officiate the service. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
To accommodate friends and family who cannot attend the services in Wisconsin Rapids, a second memorial service for Jeff will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday September 23, 2017 at St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights, IL. (2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd.) The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 9:00 - 10:00 AM.
Jeff was born in Chicago to Casimir and Lorraine Koszczuk.
In 1978, he earned a degree in pharmacy at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and went on to graduate from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1982. He did his internship and residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Jeff practiced in Milwaukee and West Bend, WI, and he and his wife, Donna, eventually settled in Galesburg, where Jeff partnered with Daniel Piper at Knox OB/GYN Ltd. Twelve years ago, he joined Aspirus in Wisconsin Rapids and found his dream home on the banks of the Wisconsin River.
Jeff was a member of the American Osteopathic Association and a distinguished fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He served as program chair for many of the college's continuing education conferences for OB/GYN physicians.
Jeff considered his family his greatest achievement. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna, children Beth Anne (Michael) Broxterman, Katrina Koszczuk, and Joshua Koszczuk, and grandchildren Kacey and Brooklyn Broxterman. He is further survived by his mother, Lorraine Koszczuk, and sisters Jackie, Julie, and Janice.
He was preceded in death by his father, Casimir Koszczuk.
Memorials may be designated to the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologist Scholarship Fund (ACOOG) or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family with arrangements.

So sorry to hear of Dr. K's passing but I'm also so thankful he's no longer in pain. He was a wonderful doctor who saved my life while performing emergency surgery. He also encouraged me to have a surgery that has greatly improved my quality of life. He'll always have a special place in my heart. To Dr. K's family,
I have never met any of you, but I will keep you in my prayers. I am deeply sorry for your loss. This man was the only doctor willing to see me when I became pregnant with my first child almost 12 years ago. He delivered all four of my children, the last two via emergency c-section. He was always a pleasure to see and I LOVED his willingness to speak his mind. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated his offer to pray for me and my son (my first emergency delivery) when I was given the news that he was not doing well. I have never had a doctor who cared more about my family. I will miss hearing his stories about you and his goofy jokes. He will be greatly missed!

Dr. K was not only my Dr. in Galesburg but a friend. He was my dance & singing partner in Choral Dynamics too!! Loved seeing him come down the hallway at Cottage Hospital humming a tune & ready to see his patients. Always ready with a story or joke too!! My sympathies to Donna & family. I am so very sad to read of Dr. K's passing. I had a very high-risk pregnancy with my daughter & it is only through his wonderful care that I was able to carry her to 28 weeks.
