Elaine Card. Where do I begin? A 16 year old girl took a chance and a woman rooster career to let me take that chance and here I am today giving back. She never once judged me or my problems. She had faith in me when no one else did. She understood me I will never forget this woman and it has been a good 25 years Ago. I am so sorry I did not reach out far sooner and am devastated by the news May you rest in peace and know just how many lives you touched and changed for the better because you listen to. You never judged. You took chances and bleeding people. To her family God bless you all! May you rest in peace.

I am saddened to hear of Elaine's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting with her on multiple occasions. She was huge advocate for a child in my care and was always so kind and caring.

My deepest condolences to Elaine's family. She was lovely woman and will live on in our memories.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Elaine's family and friends. When I was a new teacher to WHS, Dean Card would let me sit on her couch and vent and she'd give me that smile and all would be better or I'd say "what can you tell me about this one?" and she'd pull out those index cards with scribbles on them, that was HER version of short hand. She was a very special lady and it has been an honor to call her my friend.
