Dear Bliss Family,
I have so many fond memories of your mother and father. They were good friends with my parents and shared a great social circle. I really envy such fun and close friendships that shared their joys and sorrows throughout their whole lives. My parents were Bill and Prossy Rynn. They enjoyed the company of the Blisses the Walshes, the Tuttles, the Mathieus, the Kirbys and many more.
My deepest sympathies to you for the loss of a wonderful lady. May she rest in peace. Love, Alison Rynn Clifford

I have so many lovely memories of Mrs. Bliss. She was a wonderful person. Because of my very very dear friendship with Julie I was fortunate to have Mr. and Mrs. Bliss as prominent figures in my childhood. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

For a fallen hero, a single poppy grows On my father's grave, a single perfect rose. I put one there each week, you seeIt's a way to keep him close to me. A lone bugle cried in the still winter air And rifle shots shattered the cold stillness there. It was an old man who I buried that dayNinety four, with a life well lived along the way.My Dad served his country bravely in the war,France, Belgium, Germany, and more. But his heart was always divided in twoFor his love was home, her heart aching, too. They sent hundreds of letters, not for others to see,Their song, Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree with Anyone Else but MeHis love of country was tried and tested,His love of family, never bested. An American flag dressed his coffin, I knowFor it brought back a promise made long ago From a youngest daughter to her aging Dad,That a flag would always fly on the grave he had.Now that flag flies there each day,And I know he wanted it that way. For a proud American he was to the end,But my Mom misses her best friend. It is my hope that they will sit,Two hands joined in perfect fitAnd that in Heaven they will get to beAlone, together, under the apple tree.Julie Owsik10/25/2015 for my Dad on Veteran's Day

They are now together as both wanted to be
How I hope Heaven has a beautiful apple tree.
