My mother LOVED Woonsocket, loved her French-Canadian heritage and especially loved shopping at McCarthy's, Kornstein's, The Bazaar Shop and more. Her favorite restaurants were Howard Johnson's in Park Sq and The Downy Flake in downtown Woonsocket. And she made sure to read The Call, on her tablet, right up to the day she passed away. Mom came from another era. And she loved it.
