I met Roger and Edith in Athens, Greece in 1974. We remained friends for over 40 years. I visited with them many times over the years, the last time being a few years ago. My wife and I always exchanged Christmas cards with Roger. He called us after receiving our card a couple of years ago. We did not know he had died until I accidentally found his obituary today. Our sincere condolences to the family. You lost one great father and grandfather! He was one of the most kind and generous people we have ever met.

I was fortunate to have lived next door to Roger for 10 years. I remember shoveling my driveway and suddenly finding him right beside me with his own shovel and working harder than I was. He later told me that he was 88 years old!
He was such a warm and kind man and a perfect neighbor. Diane Jones
