I had the pleasure of knowing Roland though working with him at Waters for many years. We both worked in the Quality Dept. In the early 1980s. Roland was well liked and respected by everyone who knew him. Roland kind of set the tone for mutual respect in the way he presented himself. As the years went by, Roland and fellow engineer Bill Cook would give us a lot of laughs each time they would come down to the Machine Shop to disposition some bad parts. What I will remember most about Roland is how kind and soft spoken he was and always polite to fellow workers. I am still at Waters and can tell you that there are not many men around anymore with the dignity of Roland Ducharme...... Thanks for helping to make us better people Roland. I have very fond memories of Roland growing up, I know what a great kid he was because I babysat for him in the 1950s. Then I didnt see him for a number of years because I moved away. Then years later it was a wonderful surprise to me when I started working at Waters in 1984 and I found out that Roland was working there to, what a small world it is..... As it turned out he was the engineer on my product line. So meeting Roland at Waters after many years of not seeing him allowed us to rekindle our friendship. We had some strong common bonds because Rolands mother Rita and my Aunt Giselle were best friends and neighbors. - These days this world in which we live could use a few more true gentlmen like Roland Ducharme, I will miss you Roland.
