Rex Trailer was the best thing to happen on a Saturday early morning. He showed the old king cartoons and the Sergent Billy along with another character that died. And Rex handled his death with grace knowing that it was the first time most children dealt with it. My twin sister and I got to watch it at my Nana's house. Very happy memories.

Talk about "class", some spend their whole life trying to achieve it; others, like Rex were born with it. Knew Rex well, first at Air General an many hours shooting landings on Big Island Pond. Last time I saw Dallas was just before he went to PanAm; Did see Rex many times and always asked to be remembered. Dallas may not be aware but another of the Air General original crew recently passed...Nelson B. Lee. My condolences to Rex's family and to Dallas. Fond memories

My most sincere sympathies to his entire family. You will never know how much he impacted so many young lives. He truly was "our hero". You can't say that for too many people today. God rest Rex...thank you for the wonderful memories.

What a beautiful, compassionate, loving soul this man was! I am 59 and just discovered this Icon, who brought so much loving kindness to this world. I have never seen nor heard of him until now. I learned that he resided in Almonesson-Deptford Township around 1950 till 1965, while doing a childrens TV show in Philadelpia. He had a ranch here in Deptford during this time. I learned that the house I grew up in and still reside, was built on part of Rex's land in 1959! It is a small developement of 90 ranchers call Almolind Homes. Rex I am so gratefull to discover you,and what a beautiful, talented and loving man you were. Respectfully Walter Kingston

Thank you for being the faithful companion of millions of us growing up.

When I was 5, Pablo died, and you ever so gently taught all of us children, most for the first time, about sadness and death, and it is OK to cry.
When President Kennedy died in 1963 you taught us to put down our guns, and we were all sad, and it was OK to cry.
I think back to all of those early mornings waiting for the test pattern to go away; you are gone now, and I am sad, and cry.
But the wealth of memories you have left with us all, brings on smiles that grow and grow, as we share our hearts with your legacy of teaching and gentility.
