ENON — Frank C. Kumbusky, age 91 of Enon, passed away Tuesday February 18, 2014. He was born March 26, 1922 in West View, Ohio, the son of the late John and Anna (Regula) Golembiowski. Frank served his country in the US Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He followed with a career in civil service at Wright-Patterson AFB as an electrical engineer, retiring in 1982. Frank was a member of Mary, Help of Christians Church in Fairborn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Walter; grandson, Jeremy Parks; and two brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eugenia; six children, Bernadine (Ferenc Jakab) Parks, Chico (Debra) Kumbusky, Audrey (Phil) Rothe, Paul Kumbusky, Phil (Rhonda) Kumbusky, Tom (Janice) Kumbusky; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sandy (Tom Mayenschein) Kumbusky; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. The family will receive friends on Friday February 21, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 22, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the Mary, Help of Christians Catholic Church, 954 N. Maple Ave., Fairborn, Father Charles Lang Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association –or- Hospice of Dayton.
