Condolences to the Mitchell family for their loss. Mr. Mitchell was an old friend of my grandfather, O.W. Hill, when grandpa was working with George in the early years. Sorry for the loss of a true giant and leader in the Houston Galveston area for so many decades.

Mr. Mitchell was a kind, modest and brilliant man who led an exceptional life. He was a visionary whose economic and philanthropic achievements helped dramatically improve the quality of life in our community and in our nation. His legacy includes contributions that will be felt for generations in fields such as education and environmental sustainability. Our family had the greatest affection for and admiration of Mr. Mitchell and our love and sympathy goes out to each member of his family.
