The first time I met Mr. Mitchell I was coming out of The Tremont House after applying for a job. The doorman was helping some else & I saw this older man & woman getting out of an old yellow Cadillac. So I held the door for them and the man said "thank you young fella" are you our new doorman. I had no idea who he was but I said "no, I did just fill out an application but I haven't been interviewed yet". He stuck out his hand & said my name is George Mitchell & this is my wife. I still did not know who was. He then said "why don't go back in side and have a talk about you coming to work here". I said thank you so much, do you know the manager? He chuckled a little and said "I have a little influence on the hiring that he does". Guess who was starting their new job at the Tremont House. This guy was. I worked there until I left for the Army. Such a kind & humble man. It was my honor & pleasure to have known him. Thank you Mr. & Mrs Mitchell for your kindness & generosity. May the lord keep & bless you both!
