Cokie and Thomas your mother's passing is very sad. I have fond memories of your mom and dad that I called Aunt Lindy and Uncle Hale as a child. I remember helping at your Dad's campaign headquarters in Metairie. My parents were Mr. And Mrs. C Ray Edmonds (Helen). Your mom would come and check on me when I was asleep during parties at our house. One time I remember I called Aunt Lindy Mom. So your mom's passing happening years later but the same week of my mom really got to me. Aunt Lindy was truly a magnificent woman and one that I have admired through the years. Most knew Aunt Lindy as a public figure I was fortunate to know her on a personal level as a child. You both are in my thoughts and prayers to stay strong in the days to come. Your mother would want you two to be strong.

Dear Cokie, I am deeply saddened to know of Lindy's death. I will always be grateful for her friendship and her support of the American Architectural Foundation and the American Institute of Architects during my tenure there. Lindy's contributions to our native state are legendary but most of all I will remember her kind, generous and always thoughtful ways.

Sue joins me in expressing our deepest sympathy to you and the whole family. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to have shared treasured times with Lindy.

Our family and community's thoughts and prayers are with the Boggs children. Lindy was a bright light of hope in a dark world , a world much the better because of her tireless efforts to enrich the lives of those less fortunate . She was an inspiration for all, and she will be sorely missed ! Martin Regan & Family , Metairie , La.

Cokie

We lived in Alaska when the
plane went down with your dad and Senator Begich went down and did a lot of praying. You do not know me at all all but I just want you to know I was very sorry to hear of your mom's passing--I feel as if I know you God bless your entire family.

I remember Mr. and Ms. Boggs from the late 60's early 70's. My father was connected through politics. Although they never kept in touch after Mr. Boggs death, Ms. Lindy sent my parents a Christmas card with a short note until about 15 years ago. She remembered them all those years later and they never forgot her and Mr. Boggs and how special they both were. May your family take comfort in knowing how much everyone admired her. Your family is my prayers.

I was in line at Casamento's restaurant a few years ago as was Mrs. Boggs. She stood in line just like all the other hungry customers. I overheard remark "this place hasn't changed in 45 years"
She was with 2 pretty young girls and was dressed very nice and of course had her heels on. A great memory for me.
