Dear Family, I am so sorry for your (and our) loss. You may have heard stories from him about our wonderful trip together from Connecticut to San Diego (Marc Lappe's uncle's house) in a 1946 Dodge pickup "camper" in 1963. Very good memories for me. Again, my deep sympathy. Henry Lanford

Michael, You will be sorely missed. As a member of our family, we knew how much family meant to you. Rest in peace.

Dear Robin,
As I sat in church yesterday and reflected on Michael's life, an image flashed to my mind. It was of a painting I saw many, many years ago in a little chapel in Toledo, Spain: The Buriel of the Count of Orgaz. The count lies in his shining armor with many important, powerful people gazing down at his body. But his soul is flying up to the arms of God...and it is an infant. The purity of his spirit is represented by a babe. That's how I will always think of Michael. You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Linda Hemphill (Wednesday nights)

To Michael's family. I am stunned and so sorry to hear about Michael. He was a wonderful person and a perfect gentleman. I will miss him.

I remember a generous man with a sense of humor, a devoted father. And a writer with the kind of discipline and craftsmanship that we all aspire to. He will be missed.

I am deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Michael. Although I live in Toronto I knew Michael through his parents Milton and May Palmer who were so proud of him. I did communicate with Michael many times but only met him once. His extended family were also extremely proud of his accomplishments. I am sorry i never had a chance to visit the family chanukah party and as he suggested "please be prepared to bring a kugel to the chanukah party next december'.
