YORK Charlene M. (Butcher) Brenner, 76, passed away at 8:37 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at her home with family by her side. She was the wife of the late John E. Brenner, Sr. Born on July 13, 1937, in York, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte (Neff) and Mason Butcher. Mrs. Brenner worked at Tighe Industries for five years and then enjoyed being a homemaker. Charlene leaves to cherish her memory four children, Deborah L. Why and husband, Craig, and John E. Brenner, Jr., all of Felton, Karen S. Naugle and husband, Kevin, and Kenneth M. Brenner, all of York; sisters, Jacqueline Mundis of York, Nancy Trish of Hanover, and Cheryl Ann Fetters of York; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Brenner, Sr.; brothers, Dawson Butcher and Mason Butcher; and a sister, Kathryn Kiser. Mrs. Brenner had expressed an acknowledgement of a special "Thank You! " for help and assistance to friend and personal nurse, Michele D. Russ. The family would like to express their appreciation to Asera Care Hospice for their help and their support of her care. A Celebration of Life Service with family and friends will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York PA 17403 to help defray funeral costs.

Aunt Geese we might not have seen each other for years, but I will still cherish the memory's I had as a child when the whole family would get together at Grandma's house.
