Aunt Pat: This family has not only lost a great man, but a part of ourselves, too; for Paul certainly has taken a piece of our hearts with him. It has been my honor to have known and loved him. It has been my pleasure to laugh at his jokes; he has been my pride in his strength and courage; my inspiration in his devotion to family, God, and country; my trust in his honesty. I watched him through a child's eyes as he enriched my life through example, and gave me memories to cherish. The best naturally gifted ball-player I've ever seen (what an arm!,) courageous enough to jump off of that overturned Euc (tell me, who else would've done that?,) and save Bruce from Mousie (I can still see him scale that cement block wall!,) I will miss his bear-hug, as I thank God for the blessing of having Paul in my life. Pat, you picked a good one, and I thank you for it. My deepest sympathy for your loss, and prayers to you - all.
