Love Never Ends
In Honor and Memory of my brother-in-law Davey.
One of Gods greatest gifts on this earth are the many kinds of love he gives us at birth. The love of a mom is like no other. The love between a sister and a brother is close to that of a mother. Then there's the love between a man and a woman that grows deeper each year through many smiles and an occasional tear. Linda, on the day you married my brother-in-law Davey, one of God's great gifts, a true love you did win. Your life nearly perfect to me it did seem that you two were an awesome team. You were both so willing to lend a helping hand to everyone in our family and all across the land from Seven Valleys Fire Co. & Ambulance Co. to Vietnam.
And then it all seemed like a blur, it wasn't quite real.
God wanted Davey with Him, beside Him to kneel.
Lord there was so much we wanted to say.
But you said, Davey this is your Angel Day.
Do not say goodbye on that Blessed Day.
But, instead say, see you later as Angels carry you away.
Davey your spirit surrounds us, you'll always be near.
When we see a fire truck or hear the word Bingo we may shed a tear.
Till God in His great wisdom and plan allow us to see each other again.
And even as I recite this poem
Lord, help us to always be ready for we know not when you'll call us home.
Then finally to our knees we will fall
When we find that His love is the greatest of all.
I am proud to have had Davey as my brother-in-law for 47 years. He truly was a community leader and a fighter for our freedoms. How ironic it was that Davey passed away the same day they buried another community leader, Rodney Miller.
Davey never gave up as he often expressed the love and pride he had for his family as his will to live.
He was able to accomplish his retirement goal of living permanently in the mountains of Huntington County. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed sharing his home and cooking skills with hunting buddies, family and friends. We'll miss you and will never forget the good memories we shared.
A wonderful man.
Linda, you have a great daughter and two wonderful sons it was great to remember the past. The pictures are priceless.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. God bless.

It was an honor to know and have Dave as a brother firefighter and see the dedication he had not only to his family but also to the community he served and protected! I will cherish the times we had fighting fires together and helping the local volunteer fire companies in raising funds.
Dave will be greatly missed and forever remembered in our hearts as a true hero for he gave of himself and that honor is enough!

Linda & Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. Please know that my thoughts & prayers are with you.
Our deepest sympathies. I've known Dave for many years. He and my father worked together, and then I had the pleasure of enjoying his fantastic breakfast sandwich creations when I started my first job at Twin Pines. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Thinking of you all.
WE WERE REALLY SAD TO HEAR ABOUT DAVEY. WE'VE KNOW HIM
FOR MANY MANY YEARS. I ALWAYS SAT NEXT TO DAVEY IN SCHOOL, BRICKER, BUPP AND HE WAS ALWAYS
PICKING. BUT, HE WAS ONE OF THE NICEST FRIENDS ANYONE COULD HAVE. WE SURE WILL MISS HIS CHEERFULNESS AND HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE FOR US.
HE WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND WE
WANT HIS FAMILY TO KNOW, THAT WE ARE THINKING OF THEM. WE ARE SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF SOMEONE REALLY SPECIAL TO HIS FAMILY AND EVERYONE. BILL AND I WILL
ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM. WE COULD
NEVER FORGET A GOOD AND SPECIAL PERSON LIKE HIM. SO SAD. SINCERELY JOANN AND
