Wayne was a great person who will be sadly missed by all. My heart goes out to the entire McSherry family.

We may not have seen each other for awhile over the years, but when we did, it was like we knew each other all over, again. We grew up together and had a lot of good times and your talent playing that banjo, I will never forget! Wayne, you were a good person to know! Our condolences are with the entire family and Lisa at this time of sorrow.

Our deepest sympathy to the McSherry family. Every time I ran into Wayne he always had a big smile on his face & ready to shake my hand. Always so happy-go-lucky, and so talented. I'm sure Larry Sr. will be glad to see him. We are so sorry we missed the service, my wife was in the hospital.

My heart is heavy knowing that Wayne McSherry is gone while knowing that he his now in a better place. I consider myself very lucky to have known a person like Wayne and to have made a lot of good music with him over these last 12 years. I will miss your sense of humor and your ability to play any stringed instrument that was handed to you. Whether we were onstage together in front of a thousand people, or at a late-night jam session at a bluegrass festival, you just knew that some good music was gonna happen when Wayne was involved. Arcadia, York County Fiddlers, and especially Graves Mtn BGF just won't be the same without you, Wayne.

My thoughts are with Lisa and the whole McSherry family during this time.

Dear Lisa and the McSherry Family, we are so sorry for your loss. Wayne was a great guy and I'll never forget the music and great times we all had during summers at the cafe. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Wayne is surely in a better place now. Love always,

To Sabree, and the whole McSherry family--Thinking of you during this difficult time. Cherish your memories of him and always remember that he is in a place that is unimaginably beautiful and peaceful.

I grew up with Wayne, he helped on my grandfathers farm, cutting wood, stacking straw in the barn and we always found time for horsing around. The later years Wayne would treat us to a visit and his musical talent. I lost my Dad on April 12th, to cancer, Dad was fond of Wayne like the rest of us, in the last couple of years Dad and Wayne would bump into each other and talk about their treatments and cancer. Today they are both cancer free and when they bump into each other in heaven they wont be talking about cancer just good things. The pain of loosing our loves ones go deep, when we have to give up the good guys. You all are in my prayers. God bless us all.
