Missing you my brother.
February 7, 2013
I recently had a colleague at work comment on my presentation and writing skills. I went online to look up Prof. Woodyard to let him know that he continues daily to influence my career almost 25 years after my graduation from Shippensburg. I was so saddened to see that he had passed. He was, by far, the most influential and inspiring professor I had at Ship and my thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family whom I am sure continue to mourn the loss. His public speaking class should have been a mandatory class for every student. The skills learned there are invaluable. Much love and gratitude. - Barbara Horn DiBrito '89, Palmyra, PA

To a man who was an inspiration, a mentor, and most importantly a friend. I was a student at Shippensburg University who was blessed to have met Dr. Woodyard. I was going through some old videos and came across a panel discussion on race relations where Dr. Woodyard's words inspired. Made me want to look him up online to let him know that his words continue to inspire and was saddened to hear of his passing. You can be sure that in heaven there are some lively debates going on and Dr. Woodyard is coming out on the winning side of those debates! God bless you and your family Dr. Woodyard. Gone but never forgotten!

One of the greatest minds and motivators God ever created! He was a life lesson to be learned by all every second in his presence. May the Heavenly Father enjoy having him back in his fold as much as we enjoyed having him w us on earth. Much love from your SU alum-- deirdre derick (cape cod, ma)
