I just found out about Ray's passing. I worked with Ray many years ago at Borg Warner and always looked forward to seeing him at our 25 year club banquet. He was the first person I would look for! It won't be the same without him there. He was such a wonderful man!!! Thoughts and prayers for all of the family.

I will certainly miss Ray. He was one of my favorite people and we always joked that he was my second dad and could always go to him with my problems. He was in my life for over 52 years and I will miss walking across the road to spend time with him. My heart goes out to his family for he will surely be missed. All my love to his family.

My condolences to the Kern family. May Gods' Peace be with you all.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Ray and the family through my best friend Jane. Her mother and dad treated me like their daughter too. He called me his girl. Since both of my parents were gone, it was nice to feel adopted. God always provides for us. My prayer is to find comfort for the family knowing how loved Ray was, because he loved us. And, knowing he has gone home with God our Father in heaven, and he is at peace.
Sleep in peace, till we see you one day.

Ray was like a grandpa to me for many years. When I was young my dad and I would drive up to visit and him and Phyllis always had a big smile, happy to see me. I remember where he hurt his leg snowmobiling and my dad and I picking him up to take him to Shiloh Fire Company. He always had a hug for me. I will always remember his sense of humor, always picking at my Dad every chance he could. He was a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
