Just read of Uncle Bob's passing in the paper today. So sorry we didn't know about it sooner. Our love and prayers go out to the whole family.

Mr. Rettgers was my first boss after the service..what a difference going from Marine Corps officers to this kind gentleman..although I didn't work for Bob very long he left an impression on my life that would make me think of him every time I would pass the Met_Ed building...RIP friend

TO THE RETTGERS FAMILY,
I JUST HEARD OF BOBS' PASSING AND AM SO SORRY I DID NOT PAY MY RESPECTS EARLIER AS I SURELY WOULD HAVE DONE SO.
I WORKED WITH BOB FOR MANY YEARS AT MET ED AND FOUND HIM TO BE A VERY SPECIAL, CARING AND DISTINGUISHED PERSON. I HELD A GREAT DEAL OF RESPECT AND ADMIRATION FOR HIM AS DID SO MANY OTHERS AT MET ED.HE WAS NOT ONLY A LEADER AND MANAGER AT OUR WORKPLACE BUT OUR FRIEND.
GOD BLESS YOU BOB; YOU WERE A GOOD MAN.

Know that this time of grief will end but he will always be in your heart and never far from your thoughts. He will watch over you every day - and when you hear a deep, booming laugh - it will remind you of him.

To The Robert Rettgers Family,
My MOST SINCERE CONDOLENCES, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this MOST DIFFICULT TIME.
I met Bob when doing the audio service work in the church in Dillsburg. He was always so very kind, sincere and helpful. I will ALWAYS REMEMBER him as a WONDERFUL PERSON. You are SO BLESSED to have shared life with him.
Most Sincerely,
Newman Stare
