Robert Haas Obituary
York
Robert F. Haas, Jr., 91, entered into rest Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Broadmore Assisted Living Center. He was the husband of the late Delores M. (Harrison) Haas.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday Jan. 21 at St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, 1569 W. Market St., York. A lunch will follow. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., East York, is assisting the family.
Mr. Haas was born August 21, 1925 in York, a son of the late Robert F., Sr., and Barbara Haas. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was employed at Bowen-McLaughlin. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union. He was a life member of the Viking AA and the VFW West York Post.
Robert is survived by his children, Larry R. Haas and his wife Barbara A., James R. Haas and his wife Deborah E., and Susan Borror and her husband Lynn; grandchildren, Kristie Dietz and her husband Tim, Cory Haas and his wife Julie, Chad Haas and his wife Lisa, Jared Haas and his wife Liz; great-grandchildren, Chase, Alyson, Talan, Kenley, Tucker, Taylor, Drake, and Ethan.
Memorial contributions may be made to York County Racing Club, 568 S. Yale St., York, PA 17403, or to 4 Diamonds Fund, 90 Hope Dr., Hershey, PA 17033.
