Today is Wednesday, which makes me remember and appeciate your "Wednesday Special Spaghetti". I didn't appreciate it as much when I was younger, but now, as an adult, I make my sauce the same way you did....even with the added sugar. :) I can remember the many times you stood at the stove making enough for an Army.

I can't think of anyone else in this world, besides Gram, who was more giving than you. It seemed like you helped anyone who God put into your path. Even when you didn't get anything in return, you would always be willing to help someone in need. I remember going with you and Gram to help shovel snow for an older lady at church when I was little. You would always make sure our driveways were plowed when it would snow. You would always make sure Gram had gas in her car, often driving making a special trip to Manchester to fill it up so you could save a few cents since Rutter's was higher in price. You would lend out your tools or personal belongings and even though you wouldn't always get them returned, you continued to do it. You and Gram helped so many people in so many ways. Whether is was helping them to get on there feet, lending a few bucks, cosigning for them for a loan, donating to charities or the church, etc. I could go on and on. I can't even begin to thank you for everything you have done for me, Bryan, and my boys.

I went to the hospital last evening for an infusion. All I could think about was you being down the hall from where I was on the same floor. I am so glad we got you home when we did. You had mom, us kids and grandkids by your side. I know you would have wanted it that way and wanted to be home when God came for you. I am thankful you made it home. I know you are there watching over Mom and always will be. Love and miss you everyday.

When I was a little girl, I would look forward to days when it would snow. You always made time to get those darn old snowmobiles running for Tan and me. You used to get so mad when they would shut off or when we would get it stuck. But you would fix the problem or get us unstuck every single time and let us keep riding. Everytime I see a snowmobile or smell WD-40 it makes me think about you.
