I knew Warren for many years of table tennis competitions at the PA State Closed and Keystone Games. My condolences to the Wetzler family.

I had got to know Warren over the last 24 years through the sport of table tennis. He was one of the few players who you looked forward to playing against. He played hard, but was always cheerful and fair during the match. Afterwards, Warren was happy to sit down and chat about just about any topic. He was a true scholar and made these chats something to remember. I hope to someday live up to the high standards for achievement, fair play, and positive outlook that Warren established. He was one of a kind.

I always enjoyed and appreciated when Warren would sit down at the piano, when we were playing table tennis on Monday nights at Stewartstown Methodist Church. He almost always played the old hymns which mean a lot to me. Sometimes he would sing and we would join in with him.

I first met Warren at 14 after my father Leo Baummer opened our Cedar Lake swim club, Warren was one of the first members there and he loved swimming and playing volleyball with all of us! We enjoyed his gentle nature, sense of humor and physical ability. Over the years after dad sold the place we continued to stay in touch and invite Warren to play volleyball games at our homes and for picnics. He would send us photo's he took of our houses and land from the air which was really neat to have and kind of Warren to do so for us! He told us a story once of when he thought he was going to die in his airplane when he ran into a jet trail and it made his little plane lose control, but somehow he gained control and made it. He said it was a miracle!
My husband Barney Miller was always close to Warren since he lived nearby growing up. He was one in a MILLION wonderful, blessed persons and I'm happy we had a chance to be part of his life and inspiration to so many. May his example of GOODNESS continue through all of us who knew him. God Bless his soul and all his family too. Our prayers are with you.

We will miss you Warren. Every time I see a yellow cub you will come to mind.
