MOUNT ZION - Clarence E. Lofland, 96, Mt. Zion, formerly of Decatur, passed away at 12:10 A.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Morningside Church of Christ, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion, IL. Memorials may be made to Morningside Church of Christ. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family via email at www.dawson-wikoff.com Mr. Lofland was born on June 30, 1909 in Findley, IL the son of Frank and Clara (Marmor) Lofland. He retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad where he worked as a laborer. He was a member of Morningstar Church of Christ. He married Dorothy Wisely in 1932. She preceded him in death in 1980. Surviving are; daughters, Ruth Brown and husband Ronald of Herrick, IL, Carolyn Lofland of Kensoa, WI; son, Kenneth Lofland of AZ; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
