Lucy Mae Naquin ,77, a native and resident of Montegut, died at 3:42 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday, March 2, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her sisters, Una Marie Danos Naquin and Elsie Ann Danos Rodrigue; special goddaughter, Janet Naquin Bergeron and husband, Reynald Bergeron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clemile Luke Danos and Felicie Marie Charpentier; brothers, Joseph Clemille Danos, Roy Joseph Danos Sr. and Percy Danos; and sisters, Cecile Danos Neil and Lucille "Kate" Danos Savoie.
Lucy was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Pointe-aux-Chenes. She visited many wonderful locations from across the world as the wife of a service man for the U.S. Marine Corps. Some of her hobbies and interests were golfing and working in her flower bed and she also enjoyed watching TV. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Altar Society. She was a devout and quiet Catholic who always prayed to the Lord first in all her decisions.
The family would like to thank St. Francis de Sales, Deacon Brent Bergeron, the staff of Divinity Home Health and Haydel Memorial Hospice. The family is forever grateful to Dr. Andrea Espinoza of South Louisiana Medical Associates. God sent Lucy an angel on earth when she truly needed one.
