MR. RODNEY KEITH EMORY January 19, 1953 – June 23, 2008 SENECA, SC - Mr. Rodney Keith Emory, age 55, husband of Donna Whitfield Emory of 401 Meldau Road, Seneca, SC, died Monday, June 23, 2008 in Iredell County, NC. Born in Greenville, SC on January 19, 1953, Mr. Emory was a son of the late Roy Edwin Emory and Betty Bright Emory. He was a graduate of Midland Technical College in Columbia, SC and Clemson University in Clemson, SC. He was employed with Duke Energy for 28 years as a mechanical engineer at Oconee Nuclear Power Plant. Survivors include his wife, Donna Emory of the home; brother, Gary Alan Emory and his wife, Carol of Alexandria, VA; sisters, Linda E. Mahony and her husband, John of Fountain Inn, SC, Carol E. Cain and her husband, Ralph of Greenville, SC and Kristina E. Craft and her husband, Russell of Anderson, SC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Keith Whitfield. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. The family will be at the home of his sister, Kristina E. Craft, 326 Hartview Circle, Anderson, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Carolina Educational Television, P.O. Box 707, Columbia, SC 29202. A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com The McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
