A Poem in Memory of my Younger Brother
I want to tell you how I miss you so.
I remember the memories I hold in my heart,
the memories I can't let go.
I'm sorry that I never got to say goodbye.
I try to be strong but all I can do is cry.
So many more memories we should've shared.
To show you that I loved you and that I really cared.
Saying goodbye is a hard thing to say,
When I think of the morning of that black day.
All of our times together vanished out of sight,
the day you were gone with the blink of an eye.
I didn't understand what would happen to you.
If you were going to stay here or go to the sky so blue.
Among your thoughts, am I on your mind.
I should've been first to go, but instead I'm left behind.
You will always be in my heart.
You were always there, right from the start.
But as I look up in the clear blue skies.
I know your with me, as I catch a glimpse of your eyes.
Just remember that your sisters love you.
You are someone we could never say goodbye to.
I'll just wait for the day when I see you again.
The day when all this pain will end.
