Margaret M. "Peg" Goettl

RACINE - Margaret M. 'Peg' (nee: Foelker) Goettl, 54, passed away Friday, August 5, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer for the past five years. Margaret was born in Fort Atkinson, WI, March 29, 1951, daughter of James and Carol (nee: Steinhoff) Foelker. Margaret was a graduate of Fort Atkinson High School 'Class of 1969.' On August 21, 1971, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Whitewater, WI, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Goettl. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Medical Center X-Ray School and was employed by St. Mary's Medical Center and Aurora for many years. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Above all she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed. Survivors include her husband Tom; her four children, Marie (Gary) Smith, John Goettl, Tom (Heather) Goettl, all of Racine, Pam (Eric) Metzger of Kenosha; her three grandchildren, Emily, Payton, and Evan; her parents, James and Carol Foelker of Jefferson, WI; brothers and sister, David (Sue) Foelker of Sun Prairie, WI, Dr. Dennis (Karen) Foelker of Watertown, WI, Jim (Diane) Foelker of McFarland, WI, Diane (Jerry) Wanke of Johnson Creek, WI; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen Goettl of Detroit, MI, Virginia Goettl of Portland, OR, Mary (Don) Vanderscheagen of Thorpe, WI, Jim (Sue) Goettl of Bristol, WI, Leonard (Barb) Goettl of Atlanta, GA, Carol (Jeff) Koceja of Virginia Beach, VA, Matt (Brenda) Goettl of Jefferson, WI; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, Saturday, August 13, 2005, 12 noon until 1 p.m. when a Memorial Mass will be celebrated with Rev. William Dietzler officiating. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Northside Clinic for their years of friendship and months of support and assistance.
