Aunt Rachel,"G", Leslie and Vinny,
Words cannot express the void we will all feel with the loss of Uncle Gilbert. He was a kind and loving uncle. He was a great "friend" and companion for Aunt Rachel. Even though we know he is through suffering we would still like to have him with us. God does thing in a different way. You and all the Aguirre's are in my thoughts and prayers. If there is anything my family can do please do not hesitate to ask.

To Rachel and Family, we've known each other since childhood and you and Gilbert have always displayed such devotion and love for each other and your family. You and Gilbert have been good friends and over the years you both have been such a joy to be with at dances and parties and we'll miss Gilbert, but we do have all the memories he gave us. I'm sure the love and support of your children and family will help you in your time of need. Thinking of you, always! Alice & Phil

To the Aguirre family, God blesses those who mourn & weep for our loved ones, and conforts our hearts for everyone who believes in him. I didn't know Gilbert personally, but I know the Aguirre family as a good well mannered family through my mother. I also knew his brother Tony as coach for the Guadalupe Center for many of my childhood years, and that alone brings back fond memories that I will always cherish. I only knew Gilbert as some what of a father image for my son Danny (Butter),I knew that he would be there to give him advice as well as for his own children.I would talk to him briefly about Danny over the phone, like parents do from time to time. I thanked him for listening to me. And his wife Rachel, she is a sweetheart! She treats Danny as if he was her own son,Which is very fortunate for Danny. I thank you for that Rachel! For that, your husband will be treated so special in Heaven! I wish my deepest condolences to you and all your family. May god confort you and keep you safe! Sincerely, Yolanda & Danny Rios

I was very lucky to have a handsome uncle such as Gilbert Aguirre. Most nieces know their uncles as their dad's brother. I was fortunate to get to know Gilbert and his wife as contemporaries who shared an interest in civic affairs. My husband and Gilbert became friends through their involvement in local democratic politics. It was fun to hear Gilbert's perspective as a staunch union supporter. He provided a lot of insight to me about the thoughts of those who were strong believers in the rights of union employees. As we enter into another round of local elections, it seems rather empty without Gilbert's involvement and participation. All of us who knew Gilbert were inspired by his "high spirited" personality. He was so emphatic and persuasive about his beliefs. His devotion to family was also a major part of who he was. He adored his family, from his parents and siblings to his own wife, children and grandchildren to his large extended family. Our loss of Uncle Gilbert leaves a large void in the Aguirre family, but his memory will live on in those who knew and loved him.
