So saddened by the untimely death of Nancy. The Clinical Analyst group will not be the same without Nancy. She was always so generous and willing to help out. I was fortunate to visit Lexington twice as a Clinical Analyst and she was an awesome hostess.Lots of fun, one-of-a kind! My condolences to her family.

Nancy was one of the original clinical analysts, and through the years we had some fabulous memories. My favorite was the Lexington cafeteria turned into a train depot, complete with railroad tracks, trunks, and the huge amount of enthusiasm and care that was generated. Nancy, thanks for the memories, and may you continue to watch over us all.

The first time I met Nancy: I was balling my eyes out to my manager because my best friend's mother just passed away and I needed to leave to be with her. Nancy walked up to the table, gave me a flower and chocolate and said, "You look like you need this" and gave me a big hug....to a complete stranger.

That's how Nancy was: kind, loving, always giving to others and lending a hand. Her positive attitude and outgoing personality was infectious. She is greatly missed.

I remember the 'tattoo' and 'bikini' she got in Tampa. We will miss Nancy, her humor, and her 120 mph energy.

Nancy will be greatly missed. In talking to her, when she was on call, she always seemed upbeat, and made me laugh, no matter if I called her at 3:00 am or 9 PM. I looked forward to her visits to Tampa, because she brought a perspective on life, that was genuine, and didn't seem glossed over. She could be a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.

I am so sad over the death of Nancy. We had worked together for 2 an a half years. Although most of our interaction was by phone, we developed a great working relationship and friendship. Nancy could always make me laugh! I will always remember when she talked me into getting a fake tattoo when we were in Tampa and attempted to teach me how to belly dance! She will be missed by all her knew her.

In the last few months, I was fortunate to have participated in two of our software installations at Shriners Hospital in Lexington. It was a pleasure to watch Nancy doing the work that she truly loved and so obviously excelled at. Her generous smile and that “one of a kind” personality will be missed. My sincerest condolences to Nancy’s family and friends.

Nancy was one of the most caring persons I've ever known. She felt a strong obligation to friends, co-workers, and the Shriners Hospital. She took great joy in sharing her knowledge and skills and found humor in everything she did.

Our whole family was so sorry to hear about Nancy's sudden passing away. We enjoyed so much the times that we were fortunate to share the Christmas holidays with her. I've known Nancy for more than 4 1/2 years and she was always so friendly and helpful. While most of our friendship was by phone, you could hear the smile in her voice and her high energy. I would have to ask her on more than one occasion to "slow down" because she could talk so fast. I'll always smile when I think of her. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends. God has a new Angel now.

I am absolutely heartbroken over the loss of such a wonderful friend. Nancy and I worked together at Shriner's for close to a decade. We shared a special bond that extended beyond the workplace. She was so full of energy and enthusiasm that you couldn't help but be drawn in. I am truly blessed to have been part of her life. We fondly referred to each other as kindred Lady Bugs. My deepest sympathies to all those lucky enough to have been touched by Nancy.

Nancy always had such a positive and upbeat perspective about anything and everything. Her can-do attitude and championing for her staff will always be what I remember most. On the many projects we worked on together she kept us on pace and moving forward, with plans, questions, assignments and ideas. Her spirit will be missed and I extend my deepest sympathies to her family, friends and co-workers.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend. My heart goes out to her mother, sister, brother, nieces, and many friends. Nancy was always such a joyful spirit. She was warm, encouraging, and just fun to be near. I hope the crape myrtle we planted together continues to brighten the world, if just a fraction as much as Nancy. Our 30+ year friendship feels short right now. She is gone far too soon and I will miss her always.

"Live life to the fullest." If ever there was anyone who took this philosophy to heart, it was Nancy. Her enthusiam and quick wit will be truly missed. I will never forget the time she tried to teach me and a coworker how to hula dance. What a hoot that was!! My prayers are with her family during this difficult time, but take comfort in knowing that Nancy touched everyone with her positive outlook and was loved by many.

When I think of people who lived their life at full throttle Nancy Charley is at the top of my list. How incredibly blessed I feel to have experienced her warmth, energy and friendship. I met Nancy at CBH over 20 years ago when I moved to Lexington. Nancy gave me my first taste of the richness and beauty Central Kentucky has to offer. Whether it was lunch at Shaker Village, Bybee Pottery at 6:00AM, a fall ride on the Valley View Ferry or any number of other activities we experienced I will always remember the laughter along the journey.
My most sincere condolences to the family.

Nancy was an educator when I started at Central Baptist back in 1991. She had such a positive energy and vivacious personality and was abe to spread sunshine wherever she went. She loved life and was such a wonderful person. Although we have lost a bright light on earth, there is definietly a new angel in Heaven to watch over us all. I pray for peace and comfort for Nancy's family and friends.

Nancy was the most "out of the box" person that I knew. We have lost a sparkling and creative friend. I am, as so many are, in disbelief that her incredible positive energy and optimism are no longer with us on this plane of existence. One less star in the sky for us, one more for heaven.

Nancy had such a wonderful joie de vivre--it's so hard to believe that she is no longer with us here on Earth. But I believe wherever she may be, she's dancing. My deepest condolences to Nancy's family. We will all miss her terribly; all whose lives she touched are better for having known her.

Although I have only known Nancy for the past two years, she stood out as someone who was uniquely welcoming, ever enthusiastic and most importantly, always willing to lend a hand when work needed to be done. With the multitude of workgroups and committees that have been involved with Shriners electronic medical record and Medical Informatics business over the last several years, Nancy has been a vital force, dedicated to the mission of this hospital system, and truly everyone has benefited personally from knowing her.

That the Good Lord took her so quickly and hopefully without pain is the only positive note I can find in these events.

She is one of those people I will never forget, but will always bring a smile when I remember her.

I met Nancy almost 20 years ago, when she trained me at CBH. She was always smiling and someone I knew would help me whenever I called. She taught me well, and gave me the confidence to succeed in my job. I will always remember her gentle spirit and kindness.

I met Nancy at Central Baptist Hospital almost thirty years ago. We both started in 1979. We were involved in several committees together before she became part of the Education Department and a part of my world. After she left CBH I tried to keep in touch with Nancy so that I could hear about her educational pursuits, her travels, the volunteer work and all of her many activities. She was so busy and touched the lives of so many different people. Nancy was a true original with a pioneering spirit and a zest for life that knew no bounds. I can’t tell you how many adventures that we had over the years – there are just too many. I was shocked and saddened by her sudden passing. The world is a little less bright today. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and all of her many friends who were enriched by knowing this one of a kind lady.
