Dorothy Reynolds Obituary
She was born April 21, 1920 in Dazey, North Dakota to Joseph and Minnie (Schneider) King. Dorothy graduated from Dazey High School in 1938. While visiting her sister in Waterloo, she met Loy Burvee. They married May 17, 1941 and made their home in Waterloo until 1958 when they moved to Peshastin, WA. The family moved to Ellensburg in 1973. Loy died in 1982. In June 1988 she married Wayne Reynolds in Ellensburg.
Dorothy was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Quilters and Blue Agates. She especially enjoyed and loved being with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by three children, Bill (Virginia) Burvee, Carole (Robert) Asbury, and Linda (Dave) Shuler, three step-children, Dick Reynolds, Coni Thomas and Roger Reynolds; six grandchildren, Eric (Shannon) Burvee, Matthew (Toni) Burvee, Emily Asbury, Andrea (Stephen) Sukanek, Sarah (Kirk) Vaux and Mark (Amy) Dickeson; also nine great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Burvee, Allyn Burvee, Dusty Burvee, Genna Burvee, Callan Sukanek, Elena Sukanek, Ava Vaux, Joelle Dickeson and Kyle Dickeson, also sisters, Martha (Ray) Miller and Helen Short. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Loy Burvee in 1982 and Wayne Reynolds on September 10, 1997; also three brothers, Russell, Larry and Ben and a sister, Margaret.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1:00p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Ellensburg. Private inurnment will be held in High Valley Cemetery.
