Harold Price Obituary

PRICE, Harold Harold Price passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2009. He was 89. Harold Price was a co-founder of Canter's on Fairfax in 1948 with his former wife, Selma Canter Udko. They were joined in the business by Ben and Jenny Canter in 1953. Harold and Selma had two daughters. He is survived by Terri and David Bloomgarden and his grandchildren, Dena and Adam Stein and Bonnie Bloomgarden. His daughter, Charen, predeceased him. He was a vet, Mason and an original member of L.A. Rod & Reel. He will be remembered for his great jokes, stories, inventiveness and most importantly that he was the best fisherman ever. People really liked him and "he was a nice man." Services at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (Today) at Mt. Sinai, Hollywood Hills. Donations can be made to Assoc-IMC at the Jewish Home for the Aging.

Teri,
I will miss Harold very much. My mom Jo and he were friends for many years and he was like a father to me. He was the kindest gentleman I ever met. He was wonderful to me and I am greatly saddened by his Passing.
