Noreen Jackson
October 12, 2022
My name is Noreen Jackson and I worked for Berny and Jack Kinney. Berny was very cordial as was Jack. I was their executive secretary. I also was a jazz singer and after that secretarial job ended, I moved to Spain with my children to a jazz gig in the Canary Islands singing jazz for a year under contract. Then to Morocco for a few months and finally returned to California to than run a jazz club in Studio City California. When I was living in Toluca Lake area I saw Berny on the street and we talked. He was a pleasant and most creative man. R.I.P, Berny.

John and I have submitted two (2) photos. Although we are poorer today not having Dad in our lives, we are much richer and truly fortunate to have loved him and have been loved by such a wonderful person. We will cherish and remember the memories of all the times we shared, knowing this is the greatest gift Dad has left with all of us.

Very saddened to learn of Berny's passing. He was an inspiration and extremely generous in sharing his knowledge and experience.
He was a great guy and one of the pioneers in animation.

Berny was a gentleman in every sense of that word and a terrific creative talent. It will always be an honor just to say I knew and worked with him.

What can I say? Bernie's and Muriel's was always where we went for family dinners, Christmas mornings, and just to be family...Richie, Kathy, Laurie and Robbie growing up as loving cousins ( of course Bruce was always the no-show outlaw) But, he and all those memories will forever live in my heart.
As my uncle, he was always there whenever I needed to draw on his talents or his generosity. He helped me develop the characters and scenes for my master thesis, he provided me with free office space and resources in starting my own company, and was always there when I sought to learn from his personal experiences. He truly was a unique human being. Above all, I will miss his obvious delight and sparkle whenever I would spend precious time with him.
