CAROL J. HAYS

1933 - 2017

Carol J. Hays, 84, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Vernon Hills. She was born January 27, 1933 in Spring Valley, IL and was a graduate of LaSalle Peru High School. She was a former resident of Grayslake, living in Libertyville since 1969 where she worked in the attendance office at Libertyville High School for many years. She was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Libertyville, was the former choir director and often sang at weddings. Carol loved music, flowers and especially her family. Surviving are 2 children, Jeffrey (Beth Ann) Hays and Sara Hays (John Mitchell); 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Kevin and her great grandchild, Arlo Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by her husband Will Hays on Aug. 15, 2016. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed. at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.) Libertyville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29 at St. John Lutheran Church, 501 W. Park Ave. Libertyville.
