Anthony J. Bell, 93 of Margate, Florida returned home to our Heavenly Father on June 1st, 2012.
Tony was born in Staten Island, New York on August 1st, 1918 to the late Joseph and Stephanie Bell. He served his country honorably during WWII in the U.S. Army from 1939-1945. He then worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital in New York as a surgical technician until he retired early to move to Florida.
Tony enjoyed his retirement as a self-described man of leisure. He loved sports, politics, movies, history and restaurants. Tony was an avid bridge player and a skilled Black Jack player. But, most of all he loved his family. He was a most self-sacrificing and generous man.
A loving father, he survived the death of his beloved son, Thomas A. Bell. He is survived by his former wife and friend, Marian Bell, and his daughter and son-in-law, Penelope and Bruce White.
We love you and miss you, Pop.
Services will be care of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Copans Road in Pompano Beach, Florida.
