Joseph Gavin Daniels, 75, died Friday, March 8, 2013.
Joseph was raised in and was a longtime resident of Eddystone and a 1955 graduate of St. James High School.
He worked for The Scott Paper Co. for several years before owning and operating Upland Auto Parts for 30 years. Joe also owned and operated the Meeting House Tavern and Restaurant, and Chester County Auto Parts.
Joe served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 926 in Aston.
He was a longtime Dallas Cowboys fan and Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers fan.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was the son of the late Patrick and Annie Gavin Daniels.
Daniels is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joanne Pretti Daniels; his children, Joseph, Michael (Denise), Bob (Lisa) Daniels and Sherri Richardson (Bob); and his brothers, Ted and Jim Daniels; and sister, Kathleen O'Rourke. Joe is also survived by eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. He will be missed by his loyal dog, Dallas.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston.
Burial will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood.
A visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd.
Donations may be made in Joe's name to the American Diabetes Association at 150 Monument Road, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004; or to a charity of the donor's choice.

We're so sorry for your loss. One of the things I'll remember the most about Joe is, the smile on his face whenever he talked about you. He was so proud of you.
