Mrs. Maxine Otelia Brown, of 19226 Church Road, South Chesterfield, VA, born to the late Elbert Sr. and Marie L. Turner on September 28, 1953, went home on Friday, April 5, 2013 to be with our Heavenly Father.

Maxine retired from McGuire VA Hospital after twenty-two years of service and she worked at Chesterfield County Jail for eight years, both as a Licensed Nurse. She was a member of Brown Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by, one brother, Ralph S. Turner, Sr.; one sister, Hazel Turner; one devoted nephew, Keith Collins and her in-laws, Milton Sr. and Ernestine Brown.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Byron Brown, Sr.; three children, two daughters, Mischelle Brown-Mayo (Herman Jr. ?Jay?), and Tracey Lewis (Kenneth ?Tee?) and one son, Byron Brown, Jr.; five grandchildren, Duk?Quan and Malik Mason, Herman ?Manny? Mayo III, Kyjánae and Kmarí Brown; four brothers, Elbert Turner, Jr. (Virginia), Steve Turner (Earlene), Adam and Tony Turner; eight sisters, Maretha Mosby, Brenda Marable, Suzanne Cooper (Donald), Everlene Jones (James), Joyce Lewis, Geneva Giles (James Sr.), Dale Turner and Daisy Duncan; four sisters-in-law, Bessie Jacobs, Nena Marks, Rodena Collins, and Bernadette Turner; one brother-in-law, Milton Brown, Jr.; devoted friends, Joyce Bolling and Ella Booker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 P. M., Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Brown Grove Church, 12816 Bailey Bridge Road, Midlothian, VA, the Rev. Andrew T. Carey, Pastor, Eulogist. Interment to follow at the Brown Family Cemetery, South Chesterfield, VA.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Monday, April 8, 2013 at the funeral establishment.
