Not sure what to say?

To the Best LMG (Light Machine Gunner) ever

Thank you Glen and Mary for being friends of my Mom and Dad. They recounted many good stories about your attendance at the 501 PIR reunions. Daddy always envied Glen's computer skills. He was never able to get the hang of it himself. He said Glen was a "pretty good shot" during the War. Mary, my mom loved you.

Derber reunion today. You are with me now as you have always been. Thank you again for the life we all had. I am sure you have the newest MAC and are winning your card games. Love, Suzanne

I met Glen at the Fox River Mall. Another friend of mine Joe von Allmen served at the BULDGE too. I would listen to them both reminese.

My family and I wish to offer our sincere condolences and prayers during this difficult time. We truly enjoyed the time that we were able to spend with you all at the 501 reunions. I am forever thankful for the help you all provided so that i could learn of my fathers service with Glen. You both always made me feel like family. God Bless you and your family Mary.

Love,
Stephanie Johncox Redden and Family

Mary, I send you our sincere sympathies. I know these will be difficult times for you, and I am praying that God will just hold you in His comforting arms and fill you with the strength you need. I am so grateful that I got to know you and Glen a little at the reunions. I loved you instantly! Glen was a true American hero and I count it as a blessing that I was able to talk to him about the experiences he and my father, Russell Johncox, shared during WWII. They both served with courage and...

Dear Mary, Suzanne and Jackie,

I did not know Glen. I did however know Suzanne, who was a GREAT friend to my sister, Jane.

When I read this obituary it struck me as an authentic, real life love story and also the story of a hero who goes on to live his life. Glen obviously left his mark on all he met as evidenced by his life long friends and by his family. What a remarkable send off from Mary - "Geronimo", indeed!

Suzanne, I am so sorry for your...

I did not know Glenn but reading his service record I owe him my heartfelt thanks. Soar with the angels

As I read about this veteran's life, all I could say was ,"WOW", and THANK YOU for what you did. He reminded me of my own father, also a veteran and member of the Greatest Generation, who passed away 3 yrs ago. May he enjoy now the Ultimate Old Glory Flight and eternal rest with his Saviour. He was a true hero--wish we had more like him. May God bless him and his family and America!

We've never met, but my husband and I want to extend my condolences to you Mrs. Derber and more importantly my gratitude to you, Sir. May you rest in peace.
