JAMES FLOYD EVANS James Floyd Evans (Jim) died April 29, 2013 at Harbor Place. He was 87. Beloved Husband of Helen Ruth Evans for 66 years; also survived by son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Cheryl Evans of Ohio, granddaughter Casey Wilfred of Arizona, grandson TJ. Evans of Ohio, step great-granddaughter, Maddy Wilfred of Arizona, sisters Betty Evans of California, Helen Hildebrandt of Oregon, and brother Tom Evans of Ohio. He was preceded in death by son, Tim Evans. Jim was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea. He lived in Port St. Lucie for 26 years, coming from Ohio. He belonged to Club Med for 20 years; He especially enjoyed the Stableford Golf Group. He also belonged to Masonic Lodges for 62 years, American Legion Post 318, Elks Lodge #2658, and the Duplicate Bridge Club at Vista St. Lucie. Jim retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 34 years of service, 12 of those years as world marketing manager for the industrial brake division, and the rest as a sales engineer and manager for the aerospace wheel and brake division. One of his airplane customers asked his former supervisor to "Send me another Jim Evans". It made him so proud! Sadly, there will never be another Jim Evans. Memorial service: 2:00PM, Friday, May 10, 2013 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel. Inurnment to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Paid Obituary
