Richard G. "Dick" Colleton, 84
Gleasondale, MA - died peacefully Fri. May 10, 2013 at his Stow home. He was the beloved husband of 55 years of Patricia S. (Curley) Colleton. Born in Framingham, he was the eldest of eight sons of the late Francis and Emma Louise (Badger) Colleton. He moved with his family from Saxonville to Gleasondale at a very young age, and was especially proud of his Gleasondale roots. A graduate of the Stow schools, he was a former president of the Hale High School Alumni Association and looked forward to the reunions. Mr. Colleton served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was first employed by Maynard Oil, then worked for many years at GenRad. In later years he worked at a machine shop in Chelmsford and for Odessa Auto Auction before retiring. He kept busy with yardwork and furniture repair, and enjoyed monthly breakfasts with his brothers, picking up the tab to treat those celebrating a birthday. In addition to his wife, he is survived by brothers, William of FL, Robert of VA, Paul of Ayer, Norman of Stow, John of Clinton, and Stephen of Hudson; and 64 nieces and nephews and their families. He was the brother of the late Donald Colleton. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Mon. May 13th from 4:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte 111) Acton. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Tues. May 14th at 10:00am in St. Isidore's Church, 429 Great Rd (Rte 117) Stow. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, (off Rte 62) Stow Center. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Mr. Colleton's name to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Isidore's Church, 429 Great Rd, Stow, MA 01775.

Pat, Sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Richie The one thing I will never forget about Richey was his smile not that I saw him that much but he was loved and thought of.
